Job Title: Electrician
Salary: £22 per hour
Contract: Temp-Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday
  Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out safe and effective electrical work—covering repairs, installations, servicing, and inspection & testing—across a wide range of housing stock. You'll be helping maintain properties to a high standard while delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out safe electrical works on time and to a high standard, ensuring compliance with BS7671.
  • Effectively identify and repair faults, rewire domestic systems, and deliver work in line with internal standards.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to keep all parties informed of work progress.
  • Refer complex issues to senior staff as needed.
  • Set out jobs from drawings/specifications, requisition materials, and test completed systems.
  • Deliver full electrical works in kitchens, bathrooms, and complete property rewires (occupied and void properties).
  • Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
  • Maintain a clean and roadworthy company vehicle, carrying out safety checks and reporting defects.
  • Support apprentices and trainees as needed.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 2 & 3 / 2351 / Approved equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or AM2 assessment
  • BS:7671 (18th Edition) compliant
  • Previous training via registered apprenticeship or equivalent route
  • Practical experience in fault finding, testing, and commissioning of installations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to travel efficiently, including to areas not served by public transport
  • Good IT skills and excellent customer service skills
Desirable:
  • City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (Initial Verification, Certification, Periodic Inspection & Testing)
