Job Title: Electrician
Location: Bracknell
Salary: £23.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will undertake a variety of electrical works including repairs, installations, servicing, inspection, and testing across a housing stock. Your work will help ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and meet high standards — all while delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out safe and compliant electrical works on time and within priorities, aiming for first-time fixes.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, rewire domestic systems to required standards.
  • Communicate with customers and staff to provide updates and manage expectations.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and BS7671 standards.
  • Interpret drawings/specifications and requisition materials as required.
  • Support planned maintenance projects, including kitchen and bathroom works, as well as full rewires.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
  • Maintain a company vehicle and report any defects.
  • Assist in the development and training of apprentices and trainees.
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to the role.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • AM2-qualified Electrician with relevant experience in social housing or domestic electrical work.
  • City & Guilds 2391, and either:
    • City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2,
    • or 2351 or 2330 Levels 2 & 3,
    • or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work (or equivalent).
    • Experience working to the current edition of BS7671.
    • Competence in inspection, testing, and commissioning of installations.
    • Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel to various locations (often not covered by public transport).
    • Good IT skills and a customer-focused approach. Desirable:
      • City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection & Testing).
