Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
We are recruiting for an experienced Repairs Electrician to join an established housing provider’s electrical maintenance team.
This is a permanent position carrying out responsive repairs, planned maintenance and electrical improvement works across occupied homes and empty properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant and high-quality work while providing an excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installation works within occupied and empty properties.
• Complete all work in accordance with current electrical regulations and legislative standards.
• Inspect and diagnose electrical faults to determine the repairs or installations required.
• Complete planned maintenance and property improvement works.
• Accurately update job information and completion records using a handheld device.
• Communicate professionally with residents and resolve queries while working within their homes.
• Participate in the emergency out-of-hours call-out rota.

Requirements

• City & Guilds Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as an electrician within a repairs, maintenance or customer-focused environment.
• Strong fault-finding and electrical inspection skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use handheld devices and modern IT systems.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in an emergency call-out rota.
• Basic DBS clearance or willingness to complete one.
