Employment Legal Counsel

Service Care Solutions is partnering with an award-winning facilities services company seeking an experienced Employment Legal Counsel to join its People and Legal function. This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Lawyer to take on a broad in-house role, providing strategic, commercial and pragmatic employment law advice across the business.
 
Role: Employment Legal Counsel
Department: People Team / Legal
Salary: £60,000 to £65,000
Job type: temp-to-perm/permanent
Location: Berkshire – hybrid
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic employment law advice across employee relations, restructures, redundancies, discrimination, grievances and senior exits.
• Advise on Employment Tribunal claims, TUPE, outsourcing, acquisitions, workforce transformation and trade union matters.
• Draft and review employment documentation and policies, monitor legal developments, and support data protection, external advisers and training.

Key Requirements:

• A qualified solicitor, legal executive or barrister with 3 or more years of PQE in employment law.
• Proven experience managing both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.
• Strong knowledge of TUPE, redundancy, organisational change and collective consultation.
• In-house experience and exposure to multi-site, unionised or operational environments, acquisitions, outsourcing or large-scale workforce transformation would be advantageous.
