Employment Solicitor

Service care solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Employment Solicitor to support a popular local authority based in West Yorkshire.

This role is on a 3-month contract with potential to extend and requires one day office attendance a week.

This role pays a competitive rate of:
PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £40.10 - £44.50 per hour  
Umbrella - £45-£50 per hour
 
Responsibilities as an Employment Solicitor:

• Advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law
• Drafting contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
• Handling Employment Tribunal claims, including case preparation and advocacy
• Advising on TUPE, redundancies, disciplinary procedures, and grievance matters
• Supporting HR teams, senior managers, and external clients as required

About you as an Employment Solicitor:

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with valid practising certificate
• Proven experience in employment law (private practice or public sector)
• Confident handling own caseload independently
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Tribunal advocacy experience is advantageous
