Location: Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham
Hours: Full time
Clearance: Enhanced DBS
Pay rate: £20 - £22 Ltd p/h
A respected national organisation is expanding their employment support team and is looking for an experienced Employment Specialist. About the Role
As an Employment Specialist, you’ll help people move into sustainable employment by combining employer engagement, coaching and local labour market knowledge. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to match candidates to vacancies, build relationships with hiring managers and deliver employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Work with employers to create job opportunities, work placements and work trials
• Promote job seekers to local employers and advocate for their strengths
• Support clients who are job ready into employment quickly and effectively
• Provide ongoing in work support to help maintain sustainable employment
• Build a detailed understanding of the local labour market and recruitment needs
• Match clients to suitable job vacancies based on skills and goals
• Maintain accurate case notes, progress records and outcome tracking
• Keep internal systems and employer logs updated
• Work with Employment Coaches, Job Centres and partner agencies
• Attend multi agency meetings where required
Essential Skills and Experience
• Level 3 qualification in Advice and Guidance, Employment Services or equivalent
• Experience helping job seekers into work, delivering employment outcomes, or working in recruitment
• Strong knowledge of local labour market trends, employer needs and job search methods
• Confident in employer engagement, business development and building partnerships
• Comfortable using CRM systems and maintaining accurate data and records
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Ability to work towards targets and manage a varied caseload
