A client within the Public Sector based in Kent is currently recruiting for an Energy Efficiency Contract Manager to join their Strategic Asset Management team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an energy efficiency or building sustainability environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role: The Energy Efficiency Contract Manager will be responsible for contract management of all energy efficiency works delivered under the Social Housing Warm Homes grant funding, ensuring that all properties achieve EPC C by 2030 and supporting the organisation’s Net Zero Carbon 2050 goals. The role will also involve identifying and securing additional grant funding, managing contractors, and overseeing project delivery from planning to completion.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Contract managing energy efficiency projects including cavity and loft insulation, external wall insulation, air source heat pump installations, and PV panel installations.
• Preparing and managing bids for additional grant funding for energy efficiency works, including ECO4 and PV projects.
• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.
• Managing resident engagement to minimise disruption and prevent increases in energy costs.
• Monitoring the energy performance of properties and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and external partners to maximise grant funding and support sustainability initiatives.
• Reporting progress on energy efficiency goals to senior management and stakeholders.
• Participating in the development and review of energy efficiency policies, standards, and best practices.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Previous contract/project management experience, ideally within energy efficiency or related building works contracts.
• Degree level education or equivalent, preferably in project/contract management, building pathology, or a related subject.
• Knowledge and experience of energy efficiency technologies and grant funding mechanisms.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Previous experience within social housing.
• Qualifications as a Domestic Energy Assessor and/or Retrofit Coordinator.
• Familiarity with EPC data, PAS2035, and domestic energy efficiency improvement measures.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering up to 56,610 per annum + comprehensive further benefits
