A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Estates Surveyor to join their Estates & Asset Management Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an estates, valuation, or property management environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide professional valuation, estates management and surveying advice across the Council, supporting the effective management, optimisation and development of the Council’s property portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Providing technical and professional advice on valuation, estates management and surveying matters
• Supporting property projects, including acquisitions, disposals and statutory valuations
• Preparing reports, management information and recommendations for senior officers
• Coordinating project administration, record keeping and documentation
• Administering property-related contracts, payments, instructions and budget monitoring
• Leading or contributing to land and asset review programmes in line with Council priorities
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
• A Level 6 qualification (e.g. Degree, Graduate Diploma) or Level 5 qualification with equivalent experience
• Experience in valuation, estates management, surveying or related property functions
• The ability to provide professional technical advice within a public-sector environment
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Strong research, analysis and report writing skills
• Experience administering contracts and monitoring budgets
• Ability to communicate complex information to various stakeholders
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £400 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £300 per day PAYE).
