About the Role
As an Experienced Fostering and Kinship Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and supervising Foster Carers, undertaking viability assessments, and supporting connected carers. Your role will be essential in safeguarding children, promoting their well-being, and ensuring placements are safe, nurturing, and suited to their individual needs. You will also be involved in preparing court assessments, including Private Fostering and Special Guardianship reports, to assist court decisions and promote permanency for children.

About the Role

Candidate Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fostering and kinship assessments, including viability and connected carer evaluations
- Supervise Foster Carers and provide ongoing support and development
- Engage with children, families, and foster carers to promote positive outcomes
- Prepare detailed reports and assessments for court submissions, including Special Guardianship and Private Fostering cases
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fostering regulations and standards
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure children's needs are paramount
- Keep accurate case records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation
- A professional qualification in social work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Proven post-qualifying experience in Children and Families work
- Experience in completing fostering assessments and connected carer evaluations
- Sound knowledge of fostering regulations and minimum standards
- Strong communication and team-working skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's well-being
- Contract duration: 4 months with the possibility of extension
- Competitive pay rate 34.78 inclusive of holiday pay or 26.62 exluive of holiday pay
