Contract: 31/07/26 with potential extension
Hours: Full time - 37 hour week
Pay Rate: £17.30 PAYE per hour

About the Role:

Greater Manchester Police is seeking a motivated and experienced Family Court Disclosure Supervisor to lead a team of 15 staff within the Criminal Records Unit. The FCD Team handles disclosure of material for family court proceedings involving child cases.

This is a supervisory role, focusing on team performance, staff development, and ensuring timely, accurate disclosure processes. You’ll provide leadership, feedback, and performance data to senior management, while supporting your team in maintaining high standards and compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line manage and supervise a team of 15 staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

  • Oversee Family Court disclosure processes, attending court if required.

  • Monitor, report, and improve team performance.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Police National Computer (PNC) and Phoenix systems.

  • Handle sensitive information related to child protection, abuse, and other family court matters.

  • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies regarding disclosure and legal enquiries.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Proven supervisory experience in a clerical, administrative, or legal environment.

  • Skilled in performance management, coaching, and giving constructive feedback.

  • Competent with computer systems, including Microsoft Office.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and make decisions independently.

  • Knowledge of family court processes or criminal records management is desirable but not essential.
