Family Early Help Practitioner 

36 hrs/week | £31.04 per hour (UMB) (£22.86 PAYE an hour) | 3-Month Initial Contract | 2 Days Home-Based

Southwark Council is looking for passionate and skilled Early Help Practitioners to join our Family Early Help Service. Make a real difference in the lives of children and families across the borough.

What You’ll Do:

• Engage families to create positive, sustainable change and improve outcomes for children.
• Conduct whole family assessments, develop SMART family plans, and review progress.
• Deliver evidence-based direct work with children, parents, and families.
• Act as lead professional in multi-agency Team Around the Family meetings.
• Work flexibly across the community, with 2 days per week working from home.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 4 (or above) professional or academic qualification.
• Knowledge of early intervention, child development, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
• Experience working directly with children and families in early help or multi-agency settings.
• Strong assessment, planning, relationship-building, and reporting skills.
