The Role As a Family Service Worker, you will:
- Deliver evidence-based programmes and interventions to children, young people and families.
- Complete holistic assessments and develop tailored support plans based on individual family needs.
- Work collaboratively with Children's Services and partner agencies to provide coordinated early help.
- Support families through one-to-one interventions, home visits and group-based programmes.
- Monitor, review and evaluate interventions to ensure positive outcomes are achieved.
- Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records, reports and risk assessments.
- Listen to the views of children, young people and families, ensuring their voices shape support plans.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately in line with statutory guidance.
- Prioritise support for vulnerable children and families, including those who may be harder to engage.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through effective performance monitoring and reflective practice.
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Experience supporting children, young people, parents and carers.
- Experience delivering family support through one-to-one work, home visits or group programmes.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child development and early intervention.
- Experience working alongside multi-agency professionals.
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong report writing and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- The ability to remain calm and resilient when working with complex family situations.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
