Family Support Worker – 24/7 Supervision

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Family Support Workers to provide 24/7 supervision and support for a mother and her newborn in the Wirral. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding, guidance, and day-to-day support during a vulnerable and important period for a young family.
We can offer up to full-time hours on an ad hoc basis, with the assignment expected to last 12 weeks or potentially longer.

About the Role
As a Family Support Worker, you will work on a rota providing continuous supervision and practical support to ensure the wellbeing and safety of both mum and baby. You will:
- Provide 1:1 supervision and guidance to a mother caring for her newborn
- Support with daily routines, including feeding, safe sleep, hygiene, and bonding
- Promote positive parenting and empower the mother to develop her confidence and skills
- Monitor interactions and ensure the ongoing safety and welfare of the child
- Maintain accurate, detailed records and observations
- Communicate promptly with the wider team regarding any concerns
- Offer emotional support and encouragement in a calm, non-judgmental manner
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have experience supporting parents, babies, or vulnerable families
- Understand safeguarding and can follow procedures confidently
- Are patient, professional, and able to maintain clear boundaries
- Are reliable and flexible, particularly with 24/7 rota commitments
- Can quickly build rapport while remaining observant and child-focused
- Flexible full-time hours on an ad hoc basis
