Opus People Solutions are expanding their team and recruiting 6 Family Time Practitioners in the Bury St Edmunds area.

If you’re passionate about supporting children and families through challenging times, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a hands-on, impactful role within Children’s Services.

The Role As a Family Time Practitioner, you’ll facilitate supervised contact between children and their families, helping to build and maintain safe, meaningful relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children throughout all sessions
• Facilitate Family Time in a supportive and structured environment
• Observe, record and report on family interactions
• Provide feedback to support care planning and decision-making
• Work in partnership with Social Workers and other professionals
• Deliver sessions across various settings including centres, hubs, community venues, and family homes
• Transport children to and from sessions, including longer-distance travel when required
• Support families through home visits and practical interventions

Essential Requirements

• Enhanced Children’s DBS
• Full UK Driving Licence with business insurance
• Previous experience working with children, families, or within a safeguarding setting
