Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? We’re looking for a Family Time Worker to join a dedicated team within the Families and Communities service in Staffordshire.
In this rewarding role, you’ll coordinate and facilitate therapeutic family time sessions for children and their parents or other family members, often as directed by the court. You’ll help families maintain positive relationships, provide guidance and parenting support, and ensure every session is safe, meaningful, and focused on the child’s best interests.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise family time sessions between children and their parents or relatives.
- Provide emotional and practical support to parents during family time.
- Transport children and young people safely to and from sessions when required.
- Complete accurate and detailed reports and records for each session.
- Be flexible to work outside of traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed.
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in working with children and families.
- Have experience working directly with children, families, and carers in statutory or voluntary settings.
- Understand child development, attachment, and the impact of trauma.
- Be confident working in emotionally challenging situations.
- Have strong written and IT skills.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
