Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Warwickshire for a Finance Business Partner to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will lead on the financial management, monitoring and reporting of the Capital Programme, ensuring investment is effectively planned, monitored and aligned to strategic priorities.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the financial management, monitoring and reporting of the Council's Capital Programme, ensuring robust forecasting, governance and financial control.
• Partner with Directors, budget holders and project managers to provide expert financial advice, challenge and support on capital projects, business cases and investment decisions.
• Prepare high-quality financial reports, modelling and analysis to support strategic planning, budget setting and decision-making across the organisation.
• Support corporate finance activities including year-end accounts, capital accounting, treasury management and external audit, providing resilience within the Finance team.

Candidate Criteria

• AAT qualified and actively studying towards CCAB qualification or equivalent, with a commitment to continued professional development
• Proven experience within Local Government finance, including capital programme management, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate recommendations to a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and support managers while working effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
