Fire Safety Officer / Resident Safety Support Officer – London (Housing Association)
£23 PAYE / £30 Umbrella – Deemed LTD (Inside IR35)
37 hours per week

We are working with a Housing Association to recruit two Resident Safety Support Officers to join their Building Safety team.

This is a frontline role supporting vulnerable residents living in higher and medium-risk buildings, ensuring Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs) are completed and evacuation plans are in place.

You’ll be out on site regularly completing assessments, working directly with residents, and supporting admin staff where required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs) in residents’ homes
• Ensure Emergency Evacuation Statements and Building Evacuation Plans are completed, stored digitally, and reviewed annually
• Communicate with residents via their preferred method and support them through the PEEPs process
• Support admin staff with documentation and case updates where needed
• Manage your own caseload through CRM systems
• Share relevant information with Fire & Rescue Services
• Coordinate equipment or works required to support evacuation plans
• Handle sensitive resident data in line with GDPR requirements

Requirements

• Minimum ABBE Level 3 in Fire Risk Assessment (or equivalent)
• Experience conducting PCFRAs
• Fire safety knowledge in medium-risk residential buildings
• Confident engaging with residents with varying needs
• Strong digital record keeping skills
• Awareness of safeguarding and data protection
• Willingness to attend site regularly
• Basic DBS required
