We’re currently recruiting a Fostering Support Worker to join a busy, proactive fostering service supporting Kinship Foster Carers and prospective Special Guardians. This role plays a vital part in improving outcomes and life chances for some of our most vulnerable children and young people.

? The Role As a Fostering Support Worker, you will:
- Support Kinship Foster Carers and Special Guardians to a high standard, ensuring children can remain safely within friends and family networks
- Prioritise safeguarding, stability, and regulatory compliance at all times
- Work in a child-focused way, always aiming to improve experiences and outcomes
- Build strong, supportive relationships with carers, colleagues, and partner agencies
- Contribute to carer assessments, annual reviews, and foster panels
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date written records and reports
- Attend and contribute to reviews, planning meetings, panels, and case conferences
- Provide written reports and give evidence in court when required
- Transport, supervise, and facilitate contact when necessary
- Escort or accompany children and families to appointments and interviews
- Work flexibly with other professionals and the local community
- Ensure all work complies with Fostering Regulations, National Minimum Standards, and relevant guidance
? Essential Qualifications You must hold one of the following:
- NNEB
- BTEC in Nursery Nursing
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People)
- Strong knowledge of equality, diversity, and anti-discriminatory practice
- Understanding of childcare legislation, including fostering regulations and care planning
- Knowledge of childcare theory and practical application
- Experience working with children, young people, and families
- Confidence in assessment, planning, and report writing
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- IT competence and strong written communication skills
- Passionate, motivated, and child-centred
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- An innovative problem-solver who can use initiative
- Committed to safeguarding and improving children’s lives
