Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to stay safe and thrive?
We’re looking for a dedicated Get Safe Link Worker to join Worcestershire County Council’s Get Safe Team. You’ll play a vital role in protecting children and young people at risk of criminal exploitation, while helping voluntary sector youth workers develop the skills and confidence they need to support those most at risk.

You’ll play a vital role in protecting children and young people at risk of criminal exploitation, while helping voluntary sector youth workers develop the skills and confidence they need to support those most at risk.
What you’ll do
- Provide intensive, proactive support to young people who are at risk of, or have been criminally exploited.
- Equip and mentor youth workers so they can identify risk, make referrals, and deliver safe, effective interventions.
- Help remove barriers to engagement, build trust, and support young people towards positive futures.
- Strengthen partnerships with families, schools, social care, health, and community organisations.
- Share intelligence, map activity tackling exploitation, and contribute to a county-wide response to Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE).
- Keep clear, accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
- Significant experience supporting vulnerable young people with complex needs, especially those at risk of exploitation.
- A strong understanding of child protection, the Children Acts, contextual safeguarding, and harm reduction approaches.
- Experience delivering risk assessments, support planning, and multi-agency working.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and motivational skills – with young people and professionals alike.
- The resilience, creativity, and persistence needed to engage hard-to-reach young people.
- A Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline, plus Maths and English at Level 2.
- A commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and continuous professional development.
