Ground Maintenance Operative

As a Ground Maintenance Operative, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Grounds Maintenance Team to deliver high-quality soft landscaping services that improve local environments. Required Skills:

• Experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, or similar outdoor roles
• Proficiency in using strimmers, hedge cutters, and other landscaping tools
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to outdoor work
• Ability to carry out manual tasks such as edging, trimming, and litter collection
• Valid Full UK Driving Licence (a company van is provided)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience working with housing associations or local councils
• Basic knowledge of plant and shrub care
• Ability to operate small machinery or gardening equipment

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior experience in a similar grounds maintenance or gardening role
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

Other Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence required
• Willingness to work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, totaling 35 hours per week
• Health and safety awareness is essential
