Head of Family Law Solicitor

Service Care Solutions are working with a Esteemed Legal Practice who is looking for a new Head of Family Law – Solicitor.
Are you an experienced family law solicitor seeking a leadership role in a respected and client-focused firm? We are actively recruiting a talented and motivated Head of Family Law to join the team in North Ayrshire. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated department, manage complex casework, and drive strategic growth within a supportive environment.

Position Details:

• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Location: North Ayrshire (with flexible working options)
• Salary: £48,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
• PQE Required: 3+ years

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Family Law team, providing strategic direction and supervision
• Handle a varied and often complex caseload involving divorce, child arrangements, cohabitation disputes, financial settlements, and guardianship
• Represent clients in Sheriff Court and Court of Session proceedings
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional client care and legal services
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law developments and legal procedures

Candidate Profile:

• Scottish-qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in family law
• Proven expertise in advocacy, negotiation, and complex case management
• Experience with Legal Aid applications and private client work is desirable
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills
• A proactive team player committed to professional development
