Service Care Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for a Healthcare Solicitor to join a highly respected NHS Trust Legal Team in Salisbury. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a broad, influential in-house role where your expertise drives safer care, reduced risk, and major cost savings.
 
Role: Healthcare Solicitor – NHS Trust
Location: Wiltshire – Hybrid/Remote
Umbrella Rate: £40-£45ph
PAYE Inc Rate: £35.40 – 39.75ph
Contract Length: 3 months with potential for extension
 
Key Responsibilities:
Healthcare Advice

• Consent, capacity, data protection, Mental Health Act, regulatory issues.
• Adult and children’s services.
• Manage High Court applications in-house for significant savings.

Disclosure Requests

• Support police and local authorities in childcare and criminal proceedings.
• Handle complex childcare matters at the South west regional centre for children.

Claims Management

• Manage Clinical Negligence & Third Party Claims under NHSR schemes.
• Work closely with clinicians to robustly defend Trust interests.

Inquests

• Support and represent staff at Coroner’s Court.
• Liaise with local Coroners on a substantial inquest portfolio.

Key Requirements:

• A qualified solicitor (in England and Wales) with significant experience in Health Care law and a current practicing certificate.
• Ideally someone who has worked for an NHS Trust in-house legal team previously.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
