Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Rotherham
Salary: £26 per hour
Contract Duration: 2.0 months
Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 10:00 – 18:00
• Friday: 10:30 – 18:00

Candidate Responsibilities

As an HGV Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, presenting, and accompanying HGV vehicles for annual MOT inspections
• Conducting periodic safety inspections on all HGVs following DVSA inspection manual standards
• Diagnosing faults on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Performing welding, fabrication, and body repairs as required
• Attending to broken down or accident-damaged vehicles, carrying out both temporary and permanent repairs
• Preparing vehicles for decommissioning and re-commissioning as necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications

• City & Guilds / IMI Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Motor Vehicle Engineering, or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence with Category C, or willingness to obtain within the first year
• Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic with strong diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
