Are you an experienced HLTA looking for your next rewarding opportunity?
We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Chorley seeking a confident and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can take initiative, deliver engaging lessons in the teacher’s absence, and provide targeted small-group and 1:1 support.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  
  
• Lead small-group interventions in core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
  
  
• Support pupils with additional learning needs to help them reach their potential.
  
  
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to track and monitor progress.
  
  
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
  
  

Requirements

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (Level 4+).
  
  
• Previous experience working in a secondary or primary school.
  
  
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  
  
• A passion for helping young people achieve and succeed.
  
  
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
