Housing Lawyer

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded Local Authority in Southend for a Locum Housing Lawyer to join their legal team on a full-time, temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing law specialist to contribute to a busy and supportive team, handling a varied caseload of housing matters.

They are paying a competitive salary of:
Umbrella rate - £50-£65ph depending on experience
PAYE (Inc.Hol) - £44.50 - £57.68ph depending on experience

Responsibilities as a Housing Lawyer:

• Manage a full caseload of housing law matters on behalf of the Local Authority
• Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of housing law, including homelessness, disrepair, and possession proceedings
• Conduct advocacy where required, including attending court hearings
• Draft and review legal documentation, including pleadings, witness statements, and agreements
• Advise client departments and officers on legal risks and strategies

About you as a Housing Lawyer:

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3-year PQE in Housing law
• Experience handling a full caseload independently
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
