Role summary –
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Housing Officer to join their Operations Directorate. This role is vital in enhancing the living experiences of residents, taking ownership of housing schemes, and ensuring high standards of repairs, cleaning, and grounds maintenance. You will be proactive in engaging with communities, fostering strong resident relationships, and resolving issues effectively to ensure positive outcomes.
Salary – £26.23 LTD per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively listen to residents and address issues promptly.
- Maintain visibility on estates, fostering strong resident relationships.
- Collaborate with residents, colleagues, contractors, and managing agents to resolve issues and improve services.
- Manage and set service charges effectively, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Conduct estate inspections, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Investigate and resolve ASB cases and resident complaints with empathy and professionalism.
- Ensure residents and homes remain safe, taking action on repairs, FRA’s, safeguarding, and ASB.
- Drive service improvements and contribute to the achievement of KPIs.
- Strong customer service background, ideally within housing.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience handling ASB, estate inspections, and service charge management.
- Strong problem-solving ability and resilience.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and pay attention to detail.
- IT proficiency and effective team collaboration skills.
- Previous housing experience desirable.
