Housing Solicitor

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a well-regarded Local Authority, based in Southampton, who are seeking an experienced Housing Solicitor to join their in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful public sector work, offering a rewarding caseload and the chance to make a real impact on the local community.
 
Role: Housing Solicitor
Location: Southampton – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £45 - £50ph
PAYE Inc Rate: £39.75 - £44.10ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
 
The Role:

• Provide advice and represent the council for public sector housing matters.
• Focus on defending disrepair claims.
• Handle the assessment on liability, quantum and causation, deal with disclosure, instruct experts and draft legal documents.

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with experience in housing disrepair law.
• Strong litigation skills, with the ability to manage cases from instruction through to conclusion.
• Previous local authority or public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
