The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
  • Work closely with individuals to identify and manage their support needs.
  • Support tenants with current or past drug and alcohol dependency.
  • Provide assistance with daily living, including budgeting, attending appointments, and engaging with external services.
  • Safeguard individuals, following relevant procedures and raising concerns appropriately.
  • Liaise with external professionals regarding tenants’ changing needs.
  • Inspect and maintain properties, ensuring repairs, decorations, and health & safety checks are carried out.
  • Promote safe and clean use of communal and private areas.
  • Support with tenancy issues such as neighbour disputes, harassment, or security, working with third-party agencies where required.
  • Complete paperwork and reports to monitor individual progress.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Work in a professional, person-centred manner at all times.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • IT literacy and good numeracy skills.
  • An enthusiastic, caring, and empathetic approach.
  • An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and equal opportunities.
  • The ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
Previous experience in supported housing or similar environments is desirable, though not essential for the right person with the right values.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary from £24,800 per annum.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
Additional Information
  • You will need to reliably commute to Countesthorpe (LE18) or be prepared to relocate before starting work.
