Service Care Solutions is recruiting a Support Worker to join a housing-related support service working alongside the Probation Service to help vulnerable individuals achieve successful, independent futures.

This is a rewarding front-line role supporting service users with their move-on journey, tenancy sustainment, and access to independent living — all while helping to keep properties safe, well-maintained, and compliant with Decent Homes Standards.
The Role
    • Deliver person-centred Support and Safety Plans tailored to individual needs
    • Provide a minimum of two hours of support per service user, weekly
    • Motivate and empower service users to identify and achieve their goals
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on the Resident Record Database
    • Identify, report, and manage incidents of anti-social behaviour
    • Conduct weekly property visits, checking repairs, cleanliness, furnishings, and upkeep
    • Develop effective move-on plans, making use of discretionary funding where available
    • Support service users with domestic tasks and independent living skills
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues from the Probation Service and other agencies
    • Maximise rental income through timely completion of Housing Benefit paperwork
What We're Looking For
    • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar support or housing-related role
    • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service — essential
    • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle — essential, as this role involves travel between properties
    • Willingness to undergo additional vetting, including Prison Clearance
    • A compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting vulnerable adults
    • Strong organisational skills and confidence maintaining detailed records
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency setting
Why Apply?
    • Competitive pay, negotiable based on experience
    • Immediate start available
    • 3-month contract with genuine potential for extension or permanent employment
    • Make a real difference supporting individuals to rebuild independent lives
