Job Purpose

We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy People Team, providing a proactive and professional generalist HR service with a strong focus on Employee Relations.

Working closely with HR Business Partners, Shared Services, and L&D, you’ll support managers across the full employee lifecycle, offering pragmatic advice, coaching, and guidance to ensure consistent, compliant, and people-focused outcomes.

This is a varied role where you’ll be instrumental in driving a positive colleague experience, supporting organisational initiatives, and embedding a customer-first approach across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues across a range of people matters
  • Support and manage a wide range of Employee Relations casework, ensuring alignment with employment law, policies, and best practice
  • Coach and support managers on people-related issues, promoting fair and consistent decision-making
  • Assist with end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding, induction, flexible working, and family leave
  • Support delivery of HR projects and organisational development initiatives
  • Deliver or support training sessions related to people management and HR best practice
  • Contribute to HR reporting and data analysis to support business decision-making
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance
  • Support continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and procedures
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience working within a generalist HR role
  • Strong Employee Relations experience, with confidence managing complex casework
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive, organised, and customer-focused in your approach
Desirable
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards)
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Coaching or mediation experience
