Lambeth Council is seeking an experienced Integrated Brokerage Support Officer to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis. This is a vital role supporting the Council’s commitment to delivering high-quality, best-value care and support services for residents with complex needs.

Lambeth Council is seeking an experienced Integrated Brokerage Support Officer to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis. This is a vital role supporting the Council’s commitment to delivering high-quality, best-value care and support services for residents with complex needs.
Main Purpose of the Post
- Brokerage: Source, negotiate, and broker all care placements, including residential, extra care, and domiciliary care packages for service users with complex needs. This will include working both within and outside of established commissioning and procurement frameworks.
- Quality Assurance: Assist with the monitoring and quality assurance of all direct payments to ensure compliance, safeguarding, and the appropriate use of funds by service users.
- Referrals Management: Manage daily referrals for care packages, ensuring timely placements that adhere to best value and quality standards.
- Leadership: Undertake the line management and supervision of staff within the brokerage team, supporting performance and development.
- Experience in care brokerage, commissioning, or social care procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to work effectively with providers and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of care market dynamics and an understanding of delivering best value in placements.
- Experience in quality assurance and monitoring of care packages or direct payments.
- Proven ability to manage staff and provide effective supervision.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
