Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced former Police Officers to work on full-time contract across Surrey.
There are roles available in Reigate, Guildford and Staines.
The role is paying £19.72p per hour Umbrella.

Job profile
Investigating Officers are an integral part of investigative teams, working alongside police staff and police officer colleagues to investigate a range of cases. The role involves using police systems and technology to gather evidence, identify offenders, and work with internal and external partners to support investigations and deliver outcomes for victims and communities.

This is a full-time contract role (40 hours per week), with a mixture of day and evening shifts, including weekend and bank holiday working (shift allowance applies where applicable). Successful applicants must be available to attend an 8-week Investigating Officer course in full (no annual leave permitted during the course).

Duties
  • Manage a personal workload of crimes from allocation through to outcome.
  • Interview suspects in line with relevant procedures and legislation.
  • Take witness/victim statements and complete associated investigative actions.
  • Gather, review, and record evidence (including preparing items for forensic examination where required).
  • Build and prepare case files for court and progress cases through the court process.
  • Maintain contact with victims and witnesses, providing updates throughout the investigation.
  • Liaise with solicitors, the Crown Prosecution Service, and partner agencies.
  • Apply the National Decision Model (NDM), THRIVE assessment, and the Investigative Decision-Making Model (IDMM) to support proportionate, accountable decision-making.
Experience / essential skills
  • Former Police Officer experience.
  • PIP1 investigative experience (essential).
  • Experience taking statements and completing investigative tasks.
  • Experience gathering and handling evidence.
  • Experience working in a policing investigative role.
  • Full manual UK driving licence
