Contract: 6 month fixed term contract with possible extension
Pay Rate: £220.07 PAYE / £300 LTD per hour
Start Date: ASAP (subject to security clearance)
About the Role:
The Investigation Officer will be responsible for managing high-risk individuals within an asylum and/or criminal justice context. The role focuses on risk assessment, safeguarding, and multi-agency collaboration to ensure public protection and effective offender rehabilitation.
This is a complex case management role requiring autonomy, sound judgement, and the ability to manage sensitive and high-risk scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of high-risk offenders, ensuring appropriate supervision and intervention plans are in place
- Conduct structured risk assessments and apply offender management frameworks effectively
- Work collaboratively within MAPPA and other multi-agency environments
- Develop and deliver tailored intervention and rehabilitation plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with Home Office standards
- Engage with vulnerable individuals, managing complex behavioural and safeguarding concerns
- Operate effectively in a remote working environment while maintaining service delivery standards
Essential skills and experience:
- Significant experience in offender management OR investigative roles
- Background in:
- Probation services
- Police (staff or officer roles)
- Criminal justice or enforcement environments
- Demonstrable experience managing high-risk or complex individuals
- Strong understanding of:
- Risk assessment methodologies
- Offender management frameworks
- Experience working within multi-agency settings (e.g. MAPPA)
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and under pressure
- High level of integrity and commitment to public service
