Joiner

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Joiner to join a local authority’s repairs and maintenance team based in Bury. This role involves working on both void and occupied domestic properties.

We’re looking for a Joiner experienced in repairs and maintenance on domestic properties. You will be covering responsive repairs and this is a stable, full-time role ideal for someone with social housing or council experience.

Duties Include:
 

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials to specifications
• Installing doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, and staircases
• Constructing and fitting bespoke furniture, cabinets, and fixtures
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and building standards

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure sociable, full-time hours Monday to Friday. The hourly pay rate for this role is £22.20 Ltd (PAYE equivalent £19.05 inclusive of holiday).

You will be working a standard 37-hour week, with potential for overtime. An immediate start is available.

You will need:
 

• Proven experience in Joinery, ideally within social housing or council work
• Your own basic hand tools and PPE
• Full UK driving licence
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Joinery
