Location: Darlington
Full-Time | 37 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday
Rate: £19 per hour
Start: ASAP We are currently recruiting for a skilled Joiner to join a local authority team in Darlington, working as part of the Kitchen & Bathroom Rewire Team within Facilities Management and Building Services.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the public sector, carrying out high-quality joinery work in occupied and void social housing properties. Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out joinery tasks related to kitchen and bathroom upgrades, including fitting units, worktops, doors, and panels
• Working as part of a multi-trade team during rewires and refurbishments
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Communicating effectively with tenants, supervisors, and other trades
• Working within scheduled timeframes and maintaining a clean, professional work environment

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry/Joinery (or time-served experience)
• Proven experience in kitchen and bathroom fitting
• Experience working in social housing or public sector environments (preferred)
• Full UK Driving Licence (may be required for mobile roles)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
