Land Agent

A client within the Public Sector based in Cheshire is currently recruiting for an Assistant Land Agent to join their Asset Management – Cheshire Farms Shared Service as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority in a rural estate management environment.

The Role
The key purpose of the role is to assist in the effective management of the Farms Estate and other rural properties held by Cheshire West and Cheshire East Borough Councils, supporting day-to-day operational estate management and related activities.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Undertaking daily operational management of the Farms Estate and associated rural property.
• Assisting in acquisition, letting, sale and valuation of agricultural land and rural property.
• Preparing and managing tenancy agreements, estate plans and property records.
• Developing proposals and assisting with maintenance and improvement schemes.
• Supporting woodland management duties including preparation of felling and tree planting programmes.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Rural Estate Management.
• Experience in agriculture and working with rural property.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• CAAV or MRICS (Rural Practice) membership.
• Experience of managing rural projects or grant schemes.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (tenancy law, H&S, environmental compliance).

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £21 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £17 per hour PAYE).
