Lead GP

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Lead General Practitioner to support a GP Surgery , just outside of Leeds for a minimum of 3 months.

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced GP to further develop their scope of practice, within an established organisation. 

Location: Castleford, Leeds
Contract: Locum - 3 month contract
Start Date: December (date TBC) 
Pay: £100 LTD p/h - paid weekly

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lead GP to support our Clients GP Practice on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a confident and proactive General Practitioner with experience in clinical leadership and practice support. You will work closely with the practice team to ensure high-quality patient care, effective clinical governance and continuity across services during this period.
  Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team
  
  
• Deliver high-quality primary care to the practice population
  
  
• Manage clinical workloads including telephone, face-to-face and urgent care appointments
  
  
• Provide supervision, support, and mentorship to clinical staff where required
  
  
• Support day-to-day operational functions and decision-making within the practice
  
  
• Oversee clinical governance and ensure adherence to practice and NHS policies
  
  
• Participate in MDT meetings, clinical audits and practice improvement activities
  
  
• Ensure safe and effective prescribing practices
  
  
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records (EMIS/S1 experience beneficial)
  
  

Requirements

• GMC-registered General Practitioner
  
  
• Experience in a Lead GP / Clinical Lead / Senior GP capacity
  
  
• Proven ability to manage and support clinical teams
  
  
• Strong decision-making and leadership skills
  
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a primary care setting
  
  
• Availability to commit to the full contract period (December start, up to 3 months)
  
  
• Ability to commute to Castleford
