Job Title: Learning & Organisation Development Specialist
Location: Blyth/Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid, some travel required)
Contract Type: Fixed Term – Maternity Cover (until 5th October 2026)
Hours: 22.2 hours per week (part-time, flexible working available)
Salary: £41,315.09 per annum (pro rata)
We’re looking for an experienced Learning & Organisation Development Specialist to join our People & OD team on a part-time basis for maternity cover. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deliver and embed effective learning and organisational development interventions.
- Scope, implement, and evaluate measurable programmes that align with business strategy.
- Create engaging digital and physical content using modern tools and facilitation techniques.
- Support managers and teams with L&OD advice, guidance, and coaching.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across ICT, Communications, and the wider People & OD team.
- Contribute to succession planning, apprenticeships, and graduate development programmes.
- Proven experience delivering L&OD programmes in complex, changing environments.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident in digital content creation and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint).
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Passionate about workplace learning, organisational culture, and service excellence.
- Relevant qualification in L&OD/HR/OD, or working towards one.
- Event management experience (staff conferences, roadshows).
