? Personal Advisor – Leaving Care Team ? Shropshire | Full-Time | Temporary Contract Are you passionate about supporting young people as they transition into adulthood?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Personal Advisor to join a dedicated Leaving Care Team, supporting young people to develop independence, achieve their goals and successfully transition into adulthood.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people build positive futures and who can develop strong, trusting relationships with those they support.

? Pay & Hours
  • £19.32 per hour PAYE
  • £24.59 per hour Umbrella
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:45am–5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:45am–4:00pm
  • 12-week temporary assignment with potential for extension
????? About the Role As a Personal Advisor within the Leaving Care Service, you will manage a complex and diverse caseload of young people, helping care leavers develop the skills, confidence and support networks they need to live independently.

You will work with a diverse group of young people, including former and current asylum-seeking young people, those with unresolved immigration status and young people with disabilities.

Your role will involve completing assessments, developing outcome-focused plans and working closely with partner agencies to ensure young people receive the right support at the right time.

? Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex and diverse caseload of young people.
  • Build positive, trusting and lasting relationships with care leavers.
  • Undertake needs assessments and identify appropriate support.
  • Develop and review SMART, outcome-focused pathway plans.
  • Support young people to achieve independence and successfully transition into adulthood.
  • Work alongside families, professionals and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Promote participation and ensure young people have a voice in decisions affecting their lives.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to individual needs, diversity and circumstances.
  • Develop enduring support networks around care leavers.
  • Work independently with young people and their families.
  • Produce clear, concise and high-quality reports.
  • Work within professional boundaries and statutory guidance.
  • Contribute to service development and best practice.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development and training.
? What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient and genuinely committed to improving outcomes for young people.

You will ideally have experience working with vulnerable young people, care leavers or within a social care setting, alongside the ability to manage a demanding caseload and work effectively with multiple agencies.

You'll need to be confident working independently, making sound decisions and building relationships with young people who may have complex or challenging circumstances.

? Requirements
  • Experience working with young people or vulnerable service users.
  • Experience managing a caseload is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable people.
  • Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to develop positive professional relationships with young people.
  • Enhanced DBS including Adults' and Children's Barred Lists.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel as required.
