Legal Assistant

Service Care Solutions are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority in the West Midlands, who are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within a legal, family law or social care legal environment, particularly those with knowledge of childcare law and family proceedings.

• Job Title: Legal Assistant
• Location: West Midlands/Hybrid
• Working Pattern: Part-time, 3 days per week
• Days: Wednesday – Friday
• Rate: £15.82 – £17.85 per hour PAYE, depending on experience
• Umbrella Rate: £18.00 – £20.32 per hour, depending on experience
• Contract: Temporary

Responsibilities as a Legal Assistant:

• Experience working within a legal, family law or social care legal setting.
• Knowledge of childcare law, family proceedings and court processes.
• Experience drafting legal documents and correspondence.
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong understanding of confidentiality.

About you as a Legal Assistant:

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• A qualifying law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), or substantial experience working within the childcare legal sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
