Litigation Lawyer

Service Care Legal are recruiting for a local authority seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join its team on a locum basis.

Role:                     Litigation Lawyer
Location:             Kent / Hybrid
Contract:             3 months with possibility of extension
Rate:                     £50ph umbrella / £44.37ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £39.59ph PAYE exc. holiday pay

The successful candidate will handle a varied civil litigation caseload, with particular experience of Housing Act 2004 appeals before the First-tier Tribunal, including advocacy. Experience in Licensing would also be advantageous.

Key Requirements:
 

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or experienced CILEX Lawyer with a current practising certificate.
• Strong civil litigation experience, ideally within a local authority environment.
• Experience handling Housing Act 2004 appeals and tribunal advocacy.
• Licensing experience desirable.
• Able to manage a caseload independently and provide clear, practical legal advice.
