Litigation Solicitor

Service Care Solutions are working with the Litigation Division within SGLD where a opportunity has arisen for an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join the General Litigation Team on a 6-month agency contract. The role involves handling public law litigation before the Court of Session and various Sheriff Court locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct public law litigation and attend court as required
• Analyse complex case material and legal issues
• Provide clear, high-quality legal advice

 
Essential Requirements

• Qualified Scottish Solicitor with proven litigation experience
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build collaborative working relationships
• Ability to communicate complex issues effectively
• Excellent communication and workload management abilities

 
Client: Scottish Government Legal Directorate | Litigation Division
Location: Victoria Quay, Edinburgh (Hybrid) with court attendance required.
Start Date: Asap until 18 September 2026
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience: £60,010-£80,000
