Service Care Solutions are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our client based in Reading to join their Parks Cleansing Team, where the Litter Picker will be responsible for the day-to-day litter picking and cleansing of parks and open spaces across Reading.

Your Role Will Include:
- Undertaking cleansing and litter picking duties using established work schedules
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with industry standards
- Carrying out visual inspections of children’s playground equipment and safety surfacing
- Reporting defects to the Playground Officer
- Supporting other operational teams during peak periods
- Ensuring public safety and tactfully enforcing byelaws and regulations
- Driving vehicles (up to 3.5 tonnes) to transport materials, equipment and waste
- Carrying out routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (Category B or C1)
- Must be able to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (small vans or tippers)
- Licence will be checked and fully insured through RBC Fleet Management before driving duties commence
- Enjoy physical, outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Reliable, safety-conscious and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team
- Comfortable carrying out physical tasks and visual safety inspections
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Experience in basic children’s playground inspections
- RPII Level 1 (Register of Play Inspectors International) – training available for the right candidate
