Locum Property Lawyer

Service Care Legal are working with a local authority in the Hertfordshire area who are seeking a Property Lawyer to join their team on a locum basis. Please find below further details regarding this position.

ROLE:                  Locum Property Lawyer
LOCATION:         Hertfordshire / hybrid
RATE:                   £50-55ph umbrella / £48.89ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / £43.62ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
CONTRACT:        3 months with possibility of extension

Please note this role requires office attendance 1 day per week.

The Role
 

• Provide legal advice across a broad range of commercial and residential property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, freehold/leasehold transactions, conveyancing and landlord & tenant.
• Draft and negotiate leases, licences, easements, wayleaves, development agreements and other property documentation, supporting complex regeneration and development projects.
• Advise on CPOs, Section 106 agreements, planning/highway agreements and residential property transactions, alongside providing strategic advice to Council departments.

Personal Specification
 

• Qualified Property Solicitor with strong experience across commercial property, acquisitions/disposals, landlord & tenant and development work.
• Previous local authority/public sector experience is highly desirable, particularly exposure to CPOs, regeneration, Section 106 and Council-owned property.
• Strong communicator with the ability to manage a varied caseload, negotiate effectively and provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
