As a Monitoring & Responding Officer (MRO), you will be a key part of this essential service, providing both call monitoring and on-site response when required. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of residents in your community.
Role Overview MROs are responsible for:

As a Monitoring & Responding Officer (MRO), you will be a key part of this essential service, providing both call monitoring and on-site response when required. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of residents in your community.
Role Overview MROs are responsible for:
- Answering and responding to emergency calls from vulnerable service users across the borough via Jontek’s Answerlink call monitoring platform.
- Assessing service users’ needs, identifying the appropriate support, and arranging intervention to ensure their wellbeing.
- Providing on-site assistance by visiting service users’ homes when necessary.
- Undertaking general maintenance of Assistive Technology (AT) equipment, including battery changes and minor repairs, to maintain the service.
- Working within a 24/7 shift pattern across mornings, evenings, and nights, with a 20-minute handover before each shift.
- Experience in an emergency call monitoring centre, dealing with vulnerable service users.
- Experience using a call monitoring platform (PNC or Verklizan preferred; Answerlink desirable).
- Excellent communication and compassionate engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport with people in difficult circumstances.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities in a varied and fast-paced role.
- A full, clean UK driving licence and competence in driving, as mobile response duties are required (council fleet vehicles provided; council driving assessment must be passed).
- Understanding of safeguarding requirements and commitment to resident welfare.
