Main Purpose of the Role
The Multi Trade Operative will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, responsive repairs, void works, and property MOTs across their primary trade as well as secondary trades. All work must be completed efficiently and within required deadlines.

Main Purpose of the Role
The Multi Trade Operative will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, responsive repairs, void works, and property MOTs across their primary trade as well as secondary trades. All work must be completed efficiently and within required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and replenish van stock, ensuring usage is accurately recorded via PDA
- Specify and order specialist materials as required, minimising wastage
- Return all goods received notes and paperwork to the Response admin team
- Accurately use PDA and/or job tickets in real time
- Complete standby log sheets, material orders, vehicle reports, and policy documentation
- Inform managers of any changes to work tickets (cancellations, follow-on work, status changes)
- Use company vehicles in line with company policy
- Ensure safe and effective use of tools and equipment, reporting any loss or damage
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, ensuring safe working practices at all times
- Carry out risk assessments and report unsafe practices or incidents
- Achieve and maintain CSCS Scheme recognition
- Present a professional image, wearing company workwear
- Aim to complete work correctly on the first visit
- Be flexible to meet workload demands as directed by supervisors or contract managers
- Inspect and ensure quality of work before leaving site
- Supervise apprentices when required and ensure quality of their work
Essential:
- City & Guilds qualification up to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience in a primary trade and additional trades)
- Significant experience within the building industry
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team
- Strong decision-making skills aligned with company objectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High standard of customer care
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
- Current CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
