We are currently recruiting for a permanent Neighbourhood Officer to provide an effective, customer-focused tenancy and neighbourhood management service across a designated patch within the Hereford and Worcester area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, welcoming and supportive housing team. Colleagues work closely together, share workloads where needed and regularly conduct joint visits. New team members will receive comprehensive support, including on-the-job training, colleague shadowing and accompanied patch visits.
The Role As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for managing tenancies, neighbourhood concerns and estate-related issues across your allocated geographical area.

The Role As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for managing tenancies, neighbourhood concerns and estate-related issues across your allocated geographical area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a designated patch and delivering a high-quality tenancy management service
- Overseeing tenancy, neighbourhood and estate-related issues
- Investigating and managing anti-social behaviour cases, ranging from minor reports to serious and complex cases
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to resolve anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood concerns
- Managing sensitive safeguarding matters appropriately
- Conducting regular block and estate inspections
- Supporting the tenancy management of new-build properties
- Completing tenancy reviews across the allocated patch
- Reviewing service charges and depreciation
- Interviewing customers regarding sensitive or challenging tenancy matters
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring cases are managed effectively
- Attending occasional meetings or events outside normal working hours when required
- Experience of tenancy management, neighbourhood services, social housing or a similar customer-facing environment
- Experience managing anti-social behaviour, safeguarding or complex customer cases
- The ability to conduct sensitive and challenging customer interviews
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to establish successful professional relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Excellent IT and case-management skills
- A resilient and adaptable approach when managing conflict, challenges and changing priorities
- Strong organisation and workload-management skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a geographical patch
- A proactive, motivated and customer-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
