Are you an Occupational Therapist seeking a new contract challenge? Do you have previous experience working with Children and Younger People with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties? Are you looking for a rewarding contract offering increased flexibility?

Service Care Solutions are working in partnership with our esteemed client to recruit an Occupational Therapist in the Greater London area, with opportunities in both Slough and Uxbridge available. The successful candidate will provide support Younger People with Autism (ASD) between the ages of 4 to 19 which varies depending on the school location.

Our client is a leading provider of specialist day schools throughout the UK, with the key focuses being to nurture and support the development of their pupils, creating an amazing and ambitious learning environment.

Job Purpose: Occupational Therapist

Salary: £35.00-£40.00 LTD per hour (Depending on Experience)

Location: Greater London

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30

Contract: LOCUM, 37.5 hours per week (applications of 15+ hours will be considered)

The post holder will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team to engage, encourage and inspire the Younger People to be themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out highly specialist OT assessments of children/young people/adults with complex, diverse presentations
  • Work independently with own caseload, delivering direct assessment and intervention (individual and group)
  • Formulate intervention plans/programmes integrated into EHCPs, using evidence-based practice
  • Lead screening of referrals and provide feedback to the wider team
  • Monitor and evaluate risk to/from own caseload and in advice given to others
  • Provide highly specialist advice, consultation and training on OT scope to staff and external agencies
  • Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary/multi-agency meetings
  • Maintain highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing
  • Produce OT-related risk assessments
Essential
  • Registered with the HCPC
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Substantial experience working with Children & Younger People
