A client within the Public Sector based in West Midlands is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager (Maintenance Operations) to join their Void Property Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, permanent position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or social housing maintenance environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to support the Head of Service in delivering responsive repairs and maintenance across the organisation’s housing portfolio, ensuring operational teams and contractors deliver high quality, cost-effective and customer-focused services.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Managing the day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs, voids, and planned maintenance works across the housing portfolio.
• Providing direct line management to Trade Supervisors, Trade Engineers and Surveyors to ensure strong operational performance.
• Managing contractors and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered in line with contractual obligations, quality standards and value for money.
• Monitoring service delivery performance, KPIs and operational targets while ensuring services remain within agreed budgets.
• Ensuring works comply with health & safety regulations, specifications and industry standards.
• Supporting the Head of Service with operational strategy, performance reporting, and continuous service improvement.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require CIH Level 5 (or willingness to work towards) and relevant experience within housing maintenance or building services management.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience managing operational teams within housing repairs, maintenance or building services.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation including CDM regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, contractors and service performance within a repairs and maintenance environment.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £62,537 per annum.
