Job Title: Outreach Support Worker – Learning Disabilities - 3 Month contract
Location: Enfield Highway Library
Salary: £16.37 UMB - £13.39 PAYE - Sunday work will be paid at an enhanced rate of pay
Hours: 21 hours per week – 4-week rolling rota (see below)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities? Do you have experience in person-centred planning and promoting independence?
We are looking for a dedicated Outreach Support Worker to join our Outreach Team. You will be supporting adults with a learning disability to live as independently as possible in their own homes and out in the community.
About the Role: In this role, you will:
Week 1: Tuesday 11am–7pm, Thursday 9am–5pm, Sunday 10am–6pm
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 10:45am–6:45pm
Week 3: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 11am–7pm
Week 4: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday – 10am–6pm

- Provide tailored support based on individual needs and goals
- Assist with day-to-day life skills including cooking, budgeting, and accessing the local community
- Use person-centred planning approaches to help individuals build confidence and independence
- Build strong, trusting relationships with service users and their support networks
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
- A strong understanding of person-centred approaches
- Ability to encourage skill development in areas like cooking, budgeting, and social inclusion
- Flexible, compassionate and proactive approach to support work
- Willingness to work a flexible 4-week rolling rota (below)
